Travel themed e-session by Chelsea Nicole

It was the one trip Eddie and Frances didn’t take together — so it only figured that a pervert would come knocking on Frances’ door, she said.

Yes, readers, you read that right.

Frances and her two girlfriends collapsed at the end of a long day spent exploring Hawaii, only to have their rest interrupted by a brisk knock at their hotel door and the sight of a bellman pointing a video camera into their room. “I immediately thought, ‘It’s a pervert!’” Frances said. “It took less than a second for me to shut the door and lock it. But that didn’t stop the pervert.”

The bellman knocked again, saying, “Frances, open the door,” she said. “I panicked — he knew my name!” But then a second call came out — it was Eddie.

“I pulled open the door and Eddie walked in, knelt down and proposed,” Frances said.

The couple shares “an insatiable passion for travel,” Frances said, ticking off Costa Rica, Russia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, the Bahamas and more as their destinations for trips over the span of five years.

For their engagement session, photographer Chelsea Nicole couldn’t resist incorporating the couple’s true love. “Part of what I love about photographing couples is discovering what makes each unique and bringing that out in the photos,” Chelsea said. “They are quite the globe-trotters — I just had to play this up in their shoot.”

Chelsea took the couple from Borders — where Frances and Eddie will often while away hours in the travel section — to the outdoors, where the couple threw paper airplanes made from maps.

“We had both seen parts of the world as single people,” Frances said. “As friends, we bonded over stories about our past travel experiences. And now, as a couple we enjoy discovering the world together and look forward to the many exciting journeys we will have in the future.”
