Jon coaxed Amy awake, but his fiercely beating heart roused her.
Beside her, he asked, “Would you like to lay her with me forever like this?” And she understood his racing heart as she said, “Yes.”
Jon pulled a ring from beneath his pillow. “Good,” he said, “because I want you to lay next to me forever, too.”
Just three months later, the couple exchanged vows on the beaches of Hawaii. It wasn’t the rose garden wedding she’d pictured, Amy said, but she was determined to make it her own, incorporating vintage visages with delicate flowers, pearls and lace.
Amy told Pretty Little Wedding that brides have to “be open to change. Don’t hold so tightly to what your ‘ideal’ wedding should look like.”
