Cary and Frida packed a picnic and plopped down in the streets of Madrid, feet from photographer Izzy Hudgins’ camera and the bustling crowds that walk “around different neighborhoods, meeting with people and stopping for a caña and some tapas whenever they have time,” Frida said.

The couple’s picnic-themed love shoot was the brainchild of their photographer, who “changed my understanding of what couple and wedding photography could be about,” Frida said. “I’m generally not a person who likes to be featured in photos. But when Izzy presented her plan for our photo session, I felt it was an ingenious idea for Cary and me.”

“Both of us love the streets of Madrid,” Frida said. “Malasaña, the neighborhood where our photos were shot, is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Madrid. Its streets are full of interesting shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and bookshops. It has a long history of cutting-edge music and fashion in Spain.”
