Colleen and Brian’s dogs became friends long before the pair ever exchanged numbers. Each evening, their dogs would bound and play through their neighborhood dog park while they sat in silence. “I was fairly outgoing and determined to get to know him,” Colleen said. “Luckily, my Golden Retriever, Buddy, was still a puppy and very outgoing as well. He got Brian’s grumpy Cattle dog mix, Cookie, to play, and that eventually helped us to have something to chat about consistently.”
Nearly three years later, for their engagement session with Elle Rose Photo, the pair met in another yard—a salvage yard in Chicago. “The architectural salvage building was a place that Brian loves to go see and coincidentally, it was a place that Laurie, our photographer, had suggested,” Colleen said. ‘We wanted to be comfortable, and to just have fun.”
