With only six months to plan, Sarah and Ryan jumped right into planning their beachside affair. “I grew up in Carillon Beach, and have always envisioned myself getting married there,” said the bride, who told Pretty Little Weddings that choosing the perfect palette of charcoal gray and yellow came easily—as did selecting the smörgåsbord of Southern food the couple offered their 80 guests.
“I wanted it to have a Southern and vintage feel, and for it all to be very relaxed,” Sarah said. “We chose lounge furniture and food stations because we wanted the reception to be very simple, laid-back, and fun, kind of like a big outdoor cocktail party.”
Her advice for other brides? “Just have fun,” Sarah said. “And if you have an outdoor wedding, wear your hair up!”
Vendors involved in Sarah and Ryan’s wedding included: Tara Keely/Bridal gown, J. Crew/Bridesmaids dresses, Confections on the Coast/Cake, Carillon Weddings/Consultant and Venue, Nouveau Flowers/Floral Design, and Kay Meyer Photography/Photographer.
