The love of her life loved to golf—and so, “early on, it was apparent that I would learn this skill whether I liked it or not,” Sarah said. “Luckily, I actually enjoyed it. I even acquired my own set of pink golf clubs.”
But Sarah’s new-found enthusiasm couldn’t match Dustin’s skill. “After about two and a half years of dating, we were spending a gorgeous afternoon golfing at Barton Creek, and I was on the green of the seventh hole trying to putt my ball in—this always takes me several tries. I started to get frustrated and was about to give up, but Dustin encouraged me to try one more time.”
She said, “I finally got close enough to the hole to see something down in it. What is that?!? I scream—which, by the way, there is no screaming on the golf course–even though I totally already know what it is, and I’m shaking at this point. Dustin grabbed the little black box and opened it to reveal the ring of my dreams. I was beyond ecstatic. And needless to say, we were done golfing for the day.”
The couple worked with talented Forever Studio Photography and stylists Maris Malone Calderon and Jenn Hoover of Pearl Salon to return to Barton Creek Resort for their gorgeous engagement session.
