One year anniversary session by Yuliya M. Photography

They’d poured thought into every piece of furniture, every swatch of paint—so when Marina and Tim decided to have an one-year anniversary session with Yuliya M. Photography, they decided their “small 663 square foot apartment was the perfect place,” Marina said. “We wanted to capture our love and the joy of being married to one another in the everyday things we do. We love our home and the fact that we will have beautiful pictures of our first place together.”

In case you didn’t notice, Marina has a fantastic sense of style. She was kind enough to provide Pretty Little Weddings with a few decorating tips, below.

Marina told Pretty Little Weddings, “It was important for me to make our home a comfortable place where we could come home after a busy day and relax.” Here are her best decorating tips:

1. “Research ideas for inspiration and style.”

2. “Do not rush in the process. Take your time and make sure you really love the pieces you are purchasing.”

3.” Let your home be a reflection of who the both of you are. Stay true to your style!”

4. “Hang drapes! They instantly make a space feel cozy! (I made the mistake of first hanging valances, I don’t know what I was thinking! Sometimes it takes trial and error.)”

5. “Shop around to find the best price. You will be surprised how many treasures you can find at inexpensive stores.”
